Installation Guide - Online Room Reservation for Exchange

Installation procedure

  1. Configure the room mailboxes on your Microsoft Exchange Server. Here is an article that explains how to do this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124952.aspx
  2. Create an Active Directory user that the Orbit One Online Room Reservation for Exchange application can use to make all bookings and give this user the necessary permissions for creating and updating items in the calendars of the meeting rooms.
  3. Prepare a new IIS website
  4. Deploy the Orbit One Online Room Reservation for Exchange application into this website
  5. Register a new Windows Live ID application. Here is an article that explains how to do this http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb676626.aspx
  6. Make the necessary changes in the web.config file:
    1. Update the URL for the web service of your Microsoft Exchange Server
    2. Update the logon credentials for the Active Directory user for the application
    3. Update the Client ID and Secret Key you received when registering the Windows Live ID application
